Prices are what I paid where I have the receipt; anything marked est. is an estimate of typical retail, so the totals are a fair guide rather than an invoice. Rented, provided and borrowed gear is excluded from the cost total. Temperature ratings are not standardised across brands, and a garment's size chart is not the same as its actual measurements, so for over-layers I ask sellers for the zipped, laid-flat pit-to-pit. Final authority always sits with the expedition operator's current equipment list and the guides on the ground.
